Portable Life
Aan de rand van een meer in de mist vindt de zeventienjarige Sea (Ella-June Henrard - Bo) een mysterieus medaillon. Het betekent het begin van een lange reis waarop Sea zich laat leiden door onverwachte wendingen en raadselachtige tekens. Aangetrokken door de magie van het onbekende geraakt ze in een zigeunerkamp, belandt in een circus, ontsnapt uit de greep van een Marokkaans familiecomplot, strandt in Afrika en doet daar een ontdekking die haar verder voert naar een afgelegen meer in het hart van Indonesië.
Bestaat er een onomkeerbaar verband tussen de intrigerende ontmoetingen die ze op haar weg vindt? Terwijl Sea het leven bereist als avontuur en zichzelf keihard tegenkomt, herkent ze mensen en plaatsen die ze niet kan kennen - alsof ze terugreist naar de beslissende momenten van een eerder leven.
Portable Life is a modern road movie with an international cast, travelling through Belgium, France, Romania, Poland, South-Africa, Indonesia and Marocco. Portable Life is the story about the journey of a young woman, a real and an inner journey, through parallel worlds and different times, where certain people are inextricable linked with each other.
Near the border of a foggy lake, seventeen year old Sea (Ella-June Henrard - Bo) finds a peculiar medallion. It is the start of a long journey in which Sea is led by unexpected changes and mysterious signs. Sea is drawn by the magic of the unknown, she gets into a gypsy camp and a circus, she narrowly escapes from a Moroccan family comspiracy, ends up in Africa, where a discovery leads her to a distant lake in the heart of Indonesia.
Is there a distinctive connection between the intriguing encounters which are taking place on Sea’s way? While Sea Lives is travelling through this adventure of life and is confronted with herself, she recognizes people and place that she cannot know, as if she is travelling back to criticals moments of a former life.
